Paradox of the Day
The day is ordinary and therefore filled with miracles.

Give ear, O Lord, to my words, understand my cry.
Hearken to the voice of my prayer, O my King and my God.
For to thee will I pray: O Lord, in the morning thou shalt hear my voice.
In the morning, I will stand before thee, and I will see:
For thou art not a God that willest iniquity.
Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes.
Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie.
The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor.
But as for me in the multitude of thy mercy, I will come into thy house;

✨ Reflection (Chesterton Radio Meditation)
Most days do not look important.
No angels disturb the breakfast table. No voice from heaven interrupts the morning commute. The sky rises quietly, like a curtain lifted by invisible hands, and we step into another “ordinary” Tuesday.
But Scripture has a stubborn habit of disagreeing with our sense of what matters.
The psalmist says that in the morning he will stand before God and see. Not because the day is dramatic, but because God is faithful. The miracle is not that something extraordinary happens today. The miracle is that we are given another day at all.
We think of holiness as a rare event, like lightning striking a mountain. But holiness is more often like daylight filling a room — gradual, steady, and so constant that we forget to marvel at it.
An email answered patiently. A chore done without complaint. A kindness offered when no one is watching. These are not interruptions to the spiritual life. They are the spiritual life, disguised as routine.
Perhaps the greatest illusion we suffer from is the belief that nothing eternal happens on an ordinary day. Yet eternity is always entering time, the way light enters a window — without noise, without spectacle, but with quiet authority.
So today, do not wait for a sign that the day is holy. Walk into it as if it already is.
Because it is.

Be not solicitous therefore, saying: What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or wherewith shall we be clothed?
For after all these things do the heathens seek. For your Father knoweth that you have need of all these things.
Seek ye therefore first the kingdom of God, and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Be not solicitous therefore for to morrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.
